Australia has approximately 11,000 glaziers across the industry and contributes $4.5 billion annually to the national economy. Business are located in all states and territories in Australia, with almost half operating in regional and remote areas.
The Australian Glass and Glazing Association (AGGA) is the industry’s peak body representing state association members and individual companies covering glass manufacturers, processors, merchants, glaziers and suppliers of supporting machinery, services and materials.
The association promotes and encourages trade and business interests of its members and provides them with information and advocacy services on all aspects of glass, including energy efficiency, Australian Standards, safety compliance and skills training.
A number of programs are conducted by AGGA throughout the year, such as mentoring programs customer service, training management, training of employees as workplace trainers, AS1288 and IGU training to name some.
