In the Innovation of the Year category, judges will be looking for outstanding products or services which support the building industry’s sustainability initiatives. In the Landscaping award, judges will be looking for standout landscaping designs with strong sustainable elements, including conservation of natural
resources, maintenance and material usage. “This is a great opportunity for companies to gain recognition for excellence in sustainable design, building and construction,” says Stephanie McDonald, Deputy Editor of BPN and Environ magazines. “These awards are taking place at an important time, as it is widely recognised that buildings can play an important role in reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Note to editors: BPN (Building Products News) is the only independent national magazine in Australia for the building and design industry which focuses on products and their application. The magazine has been in circulation for over 40 years and has a distribution of over 29,000 copies per month. Environ is Australia’s first magazine focusing exclusively on sustainability and the built environment. Now, as environmentally sustainable development becomes a core aspect of building, Environ continues to cover all aspects of what architects and specifiers need to know to keep abreast of this ever changing field.
