ADVANCED AS 1288 – 2006 Glass in Buildings Selection and Installation

Aimed at anyone who needs a detailed understanding of AS1288. This could include glaziers, estimators, architects, engineers, final year apprentices plus anyone who would need to make a determination of glass requirements for various environmental requirements.

This program is aligned with the national unit of competency LMFGG3002C Assess glass requirements and will be auspiced by a Registered Training provider. A Statement of Attainment will be issued to successful students.

Program structure is as follows:

• Completion of AGGA Introduction to AS1288 program required.
  
  
• Completion of preliminary questionnaire required.
  
  
• Sections of the standard discussed in detail
  
  
• Discussions on applications including wind loads and balustrades
  
  
• 7 hours program duration plus completion of a portfolio over four to eight weeks.
